The Star newspaper reported that coffee is now going to cost up to 30 sen more in Penang! This means that your regular cup of kopi-o which used to cost 70 sen is now 80 sen and your regular kopi with milk will cost a whopping RM1.20!! True, it may not cost as much as what some KL kopitiams charge you or some upmarket coffee shops such as Old Town Kopitiam and Toast Box in The Gardens, Midvalley which cost approximately RM2.20 a cup (without taxes). Nevertheless, it is still a lot to pay for a simple cup of coffee that you can easily brew at home!

Now, isn’t this a good time to save money on drinks?!
