Great news! :)

Petrol price will be coming down tomorrow to RM2.55 from the previous price RM2.70! This will be effective 23 August 2008 so if you are about to pump your car tank, hold on for just one more day!

Unfortunately, I don’t believe this will reduce the inflation rate or the price of goods. All Malaysians know that what goes up never comes down again!

Read the official report here:

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia will cut petrol prices by 5.6% to RM2.55 per litre, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said in a statement on Aug 22.

Diesel prices will be reduced by 3.1% to RM2.50 per litre, he said.

The new rates will take effect on Aug 23. — Reuters
