It’s doom and gloom everywhere. Investment banks are crashing like dominoes and bringing financial markets down with them. In the midst of this financial chaos, it is rather nice of the Government to inject some light into everyone’s lives!

PUTRAJAYA: Consumers who incur RM20 or less for this month’s electricity bill will not have to pay the sum from Oct 1.

“If a consumer’s bill is less than RM20 for a particular month and has no other arrears or oustanding amount, the bill will then be RM0, which will be stated as “government rebate”. (source)

While majority of the population will not benefit from this, it is still nice to know that a tiny percentage of the population will be benefitting from the promises made in the 2009 Malaysian Budget!
